![]() On July 20th, YouTuber SuperMario157 uploaded a video titled "Bonzi Buddy Speaks," featuring a text-to-speech voice portraying the BonziBuddy gorilla as a sexually deviant computer program (shown below). On April 16th, 2007, PC World published a list titled "The 20 Most Annoying Tech Products," which ranked BonziBuddy as #6 of all time. On August 3rd, 2003, Urban Dictionary user Joe submitted an entry for "Bonzi Buddy," referring to it as a "stupid spyware program." On September 15th, 2006, PC World listed BonziBuddy as the 8th worst website on the Internet. Several updated iterations of the adware were released by Bonzi Software until 2004, when the Federal Trade Commission ordered the company to pay $75,000 in fines for violating the Children's Online Privacy Act. In addition to adding the BonziBuddy purple monkey assistant, the software would install new search bars to the user's web browsers without their consent. It’s no big deal, but I would rather not have it.BonziBuddy was initially released by the company Bonzi Software in 2000 on the website. So now I’m suck with that annoying message every time I boot up the computer. Apparently I had deleted that part of the program that would allow me to remove it, but I had not removed the whole program. ![]() However, I could not because the computer could not find the suffix (.exe) to remove it. I went to the Control Panel, found the program for Bonzo Buddy, and attempted to remove it. So I did now what I probably should have done to begin with. The website is obviousl one for Bonzo Buddy. However, every time I boot up the computer, it displays a message that Windows has detected data corruption and I should go to such and such website to reinstall the data. So I went to my Internet Tools and typed in a different home page Comcast). However, it came up as my home page, with annoying visual pitches. So I dragged the icon to the Trash Bin and deleted it from there. I’d drag it off to the side, but in a short time it would come back with a new pitch. ![]() When I refuse to sign up for the pitches, it still would be on my screen. ![]() It’s a gorilla that sings songs and tells jokes, but you have to pay for each of the things that it can do. The pitch was tha it was normally $50 and I’d get it free. Like an idiot, I downloaded a “free” Bonzo Buddy download manager on my computer. ![]()
